NJ Public Works Contractor Registration
Nextgen Electric is registered with the New Jersey Department of Labor & Workforce Development as a Public Works Contractor. This registration is required by the Public Works Contractor Registration Act for any contractor bidding on or performing public works projects in New Jersey. It means our company is current on prevailing wage obligations, certified payroll reporting, and all state labor requirements — so agencies and general contractors can engage us on public projects with full confidence.
DPMC Classified Contractor
We are classified by the New Jersey Division of Property Management & Construction (DPMC), the state agency that prequalifies contractors for work on State-owned buildings and facilities. DPMC classification involves a review of our financial standing, experience, and performance history, and it authorizes Nextgen Electric to bid on State building projects in our trade classification.
Small Business Enterprise (SBE) Certified
Nextgen Electric holds a Small Business Enterprise (SBE) certification from the State of New Jersey. Public agencies in New Jersey are required to direct a portion of their contracting dollars to certified small businesses. By partnering with Nextgen Electric, agencies and prime contractors can meet their SBE set-aside goals while working with an established, licensed electrical contractor.
NJ Schools Development Authority (SDA) Prequalified
We are prequalified by the New Jersey Schools Development Authority (SDA), making Nextgen Electric eligible to perform electrical work on school construction and renovation projects across the state. School districts and construction managers can include us on SDA-funded projects knowing our credentials, safety record, and capabilities have already been vetted.
